Saskatchewan Legislative Building Tour and BBQ in Wascana Park

Sat., Jun. 22, 2019 10:30 a.m. - Sat., Jun. 22, 2019 2:30 p.m.

Location: Meeting Location: Saskatchewan Legislative Building (Main Entrance)

We welcome you to attend a tour of the Saskatchewan Legislative Building. A barbecue in Wascana Park will follow afterwards.

The Saskatchewan Legislative Building is a Provincial Heritage Property and houses the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, our province's parliament. In 2005, the building and its grounds were designated as a National Historic Site of Canada. An experience tour guide will accompany participants through the Legislative Building, highlighting the building's history and architecture. During the one-hour tour, participants will also have the opportunity to learn about the relevance of the parliamentary process to our society.

After the guided walking tour, we will gather in Wascana Park to enjoy an outdoor barbecue. On the day of the activity, please dress accordingly to the weather. Refreshments and food will be provided.

Please note: weather conditions may force cancellation of the activity.

Family members are welcome to attend; a fee of $5.00 per additional personal will apply.

Please RSVP to Ana Lucia Herrasti at Faculty.Mobility@uregina.ca by Wednesday, June 19th to confirm your attendance.

We look forward to seeing you at the event!
