CROSSING CURRENTS: ACTIVATING CHANGE IN CANADIAN THEATRE AND PERFORMANCE

Wed., Dec. 9, 2020 7:30 p.m.

Location: Zoom

On Wednesday, December 9th at 730 pm the Theatre Department is hosting its second conversation in the series CROSSING CURRENTS: ACTIVATING CHANGE IN CANADIAN THEATRE AND PERFORMANCE. This series was initiated in response to the IBPOC movement, and as such features local theatre artists discussing topics inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement and the need to examine how theatre practice and theatre training in Canada needs real change and transformation.

The Theatre Department invited four theatre artists to host these conversations, and the second conversation is this  Wednesday December 9th, hosted by theatre artist Kris Alvarez, with special guest artists Rania Al Harthi and Aren Okemaysim.  While these conversations are theatre-related, they are valuable for all of us working in all fields of the arts and/or in institutions where systemic racism needs to be addressed.

Wednesday's conversation is titled THE SKIN YOU'RE IN, and we invite you to please join us!  Zoom link provided.

*This event was rescheduled, and was originally going to be presented on November 25th. We apologize for any inconvenience that may have caused, and hope you will join us this week!
