“Have Saskatchewan Health Care Workers Reached a Breaking Point?”

Thu., Dec. 9, 2021 12:00 p.m. - Thu., Dec. 9, 2021 1:00 p.m.

Location: Online (Zoom)

The pandemic has taken a significant toll on the mental health and wellbeing of health care workers worldwide. This public presentation compares the results of an on-line survey completed by 3,000+ unionized Saskatchewan health care workers in May 2020 and November 2021. The presentation highlights declining mental health among health care workers, and the relationship between mental health and intentions to reduce working hours and other outcomes (e.g., under staffing, intention to change one's profession).
