Become an International Peer Advisor!

The role of an International Peer Advisor is to connect with, and provide valuable information and support to, new and current international students (International Student Advisees) at the University of Regina. As a resource for navigating the University, our International Peer Advisors are current domestic and international students who are motivated to assist new, and current, students with their successful transition to their new life at the U of R.

Who is Eligible to Become an International Peer Advisor?

  • Students who have completed a minimum of 2 semesters towards their degree program
  • Students who have good leadership skills and are dedicated
  • Students who are in good academic standing with a minimum 70% UGPA

Time Commitment

International Peer Advisors must be committed for the full duration of the program - 3 semesters for a total of 1 year. During this time, our International Peer Advisors are required to be available for 2 hours per week to meet with their Student Advisees in the Global Learning Centre, in addition to participating in 5 UR International activities, as listed above, but not limited to these options.

How to Apply

International Peer Advisors and Student Advisees are required to fill out the appropriate form below and submit it to UR International, CW 109. Successful International Peer Advisor applicants will be contacted for an interview and Student Advisee applicants will be contacted once an appropriate International Peer Advisor has been selected.
