Research interests

Painting and Drawing techniques and methodologies, biotic and abiotic ecological systems, correlations and interconnectedness of natural phenomenon, nonhuman agency, phenomenology, environment, representations of the nature world in two-dimensional art practices.

Holly Fay’s practice encompasses, drawing, painting, installation, writing and curation. Presented in exhibitions nationally and internationally, Holly’s work has received numerous grants, and is represented in public collections including the Saskatchewan Arts Board, the Mackenzie Art Gallery, and the Dunlop Art Gallery. Prior to joining the Faculty of Media, Art and Performance, Holly was the Director / Curator of the Art Gallery of Regina (from 2015 to mid 2019) leading the AGR  as both executive and artistic director.  Holly teaches studio classes in painting and drawing, and teaches seminar classes in professional practice and issues.
