Nursing Central Program

The software program, Nursing CentralTM, is a requirement for the Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing (SCBScN) program.  Students use the software during their clinical and lab experiences.  To download the Nursing Central program to your Electronic Mobile Device (EMD), please contact nursing.technology@uregina.ca to have our staff assist you with the download.

Undergraduate

Upon acceptance of a position, all Clinical Nursing Practica Coaches (CNCP) teaching within the Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing (SCBScN) program must complete additional forms.

1. For all Clinical Nursing Practica Coaches instructing in the clinical setting

  • Health Systems Placement Network (HSPnet) 

HSPnet is a computerized clinical placement system which is utilized and maintained in order to facilitate province-wide coordination of clinical placements. The SCBScN program uses HSPnet to manage clinical placements for all nursing students.  Clinical instructors are granted access to this system prior to clinical teaching and must complete and submit the following form to the Faculty of Nursing:

2. For Clinical Nursing Practica Coaches Instructing in REGINA (Saskatchewan Health Authority formerly known as Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region)

  • Saskatchewan Health Authority – Confidentiality Agreement Form

Under the provisions of The Health Information Protection Act, The Local Authority Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, and other privacy legislation, the Saskatchewan Health Authority is under a duty to establish policies and procedures to protect confidential information which it collects and has under its custody and control. In this respect the Saskatchewan Health Authority must ensure compliance with these Acts by persons providing services to the Saskatchewan Health Authority, whether as an employee, physician, volunteer, student, or otherwise.

To ensure compliancy, the following form must be completed and submitted to the Faculty of Nursing:

To ensure our clinical instructors have Nursing Educator access to required pharmaceutical cabinets for the duration of their appointment, the following form must be completed and submitted to the Faculty of Nursing:

3. For Clinical Nursing Practica Coaches Instructing in SASKATOON

  • Saskatoon Health Region Confidentiality Agreement v1.5
