The Fall semester has arrived, and with it comes the energy, optimism, and possibility that a new academic year brings.

The University of Regina is once again filled with students from across Canada and around the world, gathering in classrooms, study spaces, and new campus hubs to learn, connect, and grow together. For some, it’s the first step into university life. For others, it’s a return to familiar faces and the continuation of their academic journey.

Beyond academics, the semester will be marked by memorable experiences that bring the community together – including the countdown to November’s Vanier Cup, when Regina will proudly host the national championship football game.

As the University community embarks on this new chapter, President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Jeff Keshen shares a message of encouragement and welcome. His annual video greeting reminds students that the university experience is about much more than lectures and assignments – it’s about exploring new ideas, building lasting relationships, and discovering just how far curiosity and determination can take you.

There’s something truly special about the start of a new semester. The campus is alive with possibility, classrooms are buzzing with curiosity, new friendships are being built, and the air is filled with the excitement of what lies ahead. — Dr. Jeff Keshen, President and Vice-Chancellor
