EMBA Admission Information

The Levene EMBA program has one intake every two years: the next intake is August, 2022. Completed EMBA application deadline is May 15th be considered for the late August, 2022 intake.

Applicants must meet the admission standards of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research (FGSR) and the Levene Graduate School of Business, which are:

  1. A four-year undergraduate degree with a minimum grade point average equivalent to Canadian 70% (or mid-career option)
  2. At least eight years full-time work experience.
      • Experience must be obtained after completion of an undergraduate degree
      • Internships, work placements and Co-Operative Education placements will not be considered valid experience
  3. Sealed and official transcripts from all former post-secondary institutions attended by the applicant sent directly to FGSR by your former institution(s). Envelopes must bear an official institutional stamp across the seal. Transcripts in any language other than English or French must be accompanied by a certified literal translation.

  4. Language Requirements: International applicants must submit proof of English proficiency if the language of instruction in their undergraduate degree was not English (score cannot be older than 2 years):
    • Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL): 70
    • CanTEST: 4.5 with No Band below 4.0
    • IELTS (Academic Version): 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each band
    • MELAB: 85
    • PTE Academic:59
    • TOEFL Paper-based: 580 / Internet-based (DI code: 0830): 80 minimum of 20 in each of the four components. Institutional ITP TOEFL is not accepted
    • U of R ESL:  Advanced  EAP 050
    • Duolingo: 110

Mid-Career option: Management professionals who do not meet the required GPA or those who do not have an undergraduate degree, but who have a minimum of eight to ten years senior level work experience may qualify for the mid-career option. Note: Students enrolled in the EMBA program do not maintain full-time student status throughout the program. Therefore, this program may be unavailable to international applicants due to Citizenship and Immigration Canada regulations.
