Admission Requirements

Academic Program

The minimum age to apply to the EAP Program is 16; however, if you are under the age of 16, you may be considered for admission, but require special permission from the ESL Director. We will issue you a Letter of Acceptance once your application has been approved, you have paid the required fees and provided us with a copy of your passport.

Please be advised that the age of majority in Saskatchewan is 18, which means if you are under the age of 18 you are still considered a minor. If you apply to the Academic EAP Program and are a minor, you are required to submit additional documents to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The documents are for the purposes of proving custodianship in Canada for minors who plan to study in Canada without a parent or legal guardian. Neither the EAP Program nor any of our staff or faculty members will assume custodianship over you.

For more information about the documents IRCC requires, please refer to the IRCC website:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/study-minors.asp.

Also, although the EAP Program is completely separate from IRCC, if are under the age of 18 please contact the ESL Program Office so that we may assist you.
