Travel Restrictions Announced November 30,2021


Due to new travel measures announced by the Government of Canada, you might have to postpone your travel plan until the travel ban is lifted. There are temporary changes for all travellers, including Canadian citizens, regardless of their vaccination status.

Additional restrictions and requirements now apply to the following countries:
Botswana, Egypt, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Zimbabwe

Effective December 1, 2021, foreign nationals who have been in any of these countries within the previous 14 days will not be permitted entry into Canada. In the coming days, all fully vaccinated travellers arriving by air from departure points other than the United States will be subject to arrival testing. Fully vaccinated travellers will be required to quarantine while they await the results of their arrival test. Unvaccinated travellers, with right of entry to Canada, will continue to be tested on arrival and day 8 and quarantine for 14 days. However, those arriving by air will now be required to stay in a designated quarantine facility or other suitable location while they await the result of their on arrival test.

The requirements outlined on this page is applicable to all travellers entering to Canada as an international student. You must meet all requirements regardless of your vaccination status.

Requirements for Fully Vaccinated Travellers

If you are fully vaccinated and planning to travel to Canada after July 5, 2021, you must follow the requirements outlined on this page, in addition to the general travelling requirements.
