Amy taught abroad for three years in Guatemala, Hong Kong and Beijing before joining the ESL program as an instructor. She is certified with both TESL Saskatchewan and TESL Canada, and enjoys giving conference presentations on her current areas of research – the link between acculturation and academic success for international students, and the use of technology in the classroom.

Amy’s teaching duties this term include the 050 level Literature and Writing course, which is one she finds especially rewarding in that it bridges her interests in literature and TESL pedagogy.

In her free time, Amy loves taking her son to the train tracks so she can share his excitement in seeing trains go by.  Each summer she and her family try to get to the Rocky Mountains or the Pacific coast for some hiking and camping.
