Preliminary figures indicate enrolment for the Fall 2015 semester will surpass last year’s record.

As of September 8, 2015, enrolment is up by over 550 students (approximately four per cent) compared to the same date last year.

“We are honoured that so many students have chosen to make the University of Regina their university for 2015-16 and beyond," says President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Vianne Timmons. "The start of a new academic year is always an exciting time for students, faculty and staff, and I am delighted to welcome all of our new and returning students to campus."

A number of factors contribute to the boost in enrolment: the opening of the new 606 bed student residence, Kīšik Towers; increased financial support for students; and increased efforts to streamline registration and grow the number of graduate level, international and Aboriginal students on campus.

This is the seventh consecutive year of enrolment increases. More detailed information on enrolments will be available in October.
