Are you looking for a new way to stay active this winter? How about giving Kung Fu a try! When you hear Kung Fu you may think it is all about high kicks & acrobatics but there are many styles of Kung Fu that are considered low impact as well. Kung Fu is known for its many health benefits such as improving your stamina, flexibility, strength and reducing stress. Why don’t you come join us and learn something new this winter.

Working together with one of the most prestigious Chinese Kung Fu academies, The Songshan Shaolin Wushu College, China, and The Confucius Institute will host The Virtual Chinese Kung Fu (Wushu) Workshop.

  • A video enabled computer for you to access Zoom
  • Gym wear or comfortable clothing
  • Water
  • Enough space for you to move around

What you will learn:

The session will be focusing on the Shaolin Gongfa, a basic set of movements for Shaolin Kung Fu beginner students. Shaolin Gongfa consists of both offensive and defensive techniques. The actions are simple but powerful, adaptable and focus on the attack. It was created based on actual combat while enhancing bodybuilding.
