Understanding Plagiarism

library

Plagiarism is a very serious form of academic misconduct in Canadian Universities, including the University of Regina. It is your responsibility as a student in Canada to learn, understand and avoid plagiarism in your studies.

Committing plagiarism can lead to serious and negative consequences to your academic career. For international students, these consequences can also affect your status as an international student in Canada.

To learn how to avoid plagiarism, you can visit the "Information Desk" located in the Dr. John Archer Library, or use one of their online resources.

You can also read the Library's Citation Style Guides to learn how to provide proper references to the resources you use in your academic work.
