World Migratory Bird Day

Sat., May. 12, 2018 8:00 a.m. - Sat., May. 12, 2018 4:00 p.m.

Location: Last Mountain Regional Park - 2405 Legislative Dr

Nature Saskatchewan is hosting it’s fourth annual World Migratory Bird Day.

This is a free family-friendly event to celebrate the return of our migratory birds. A free bus will be leaving from the Legislative Building in Regina to take participants to the Last Mountain Bird Observatory.

Groups will rotate through 7 stations including: Bird banding, bird feeders, bird masks, migration obstacle course and more. We offer a free BBQ lunch and games in the afternoon. This event is a celebration but also an educational opportunity. Participants will learn about bird banding, migration and the importance of habitat conservation.

It’s a great chance for families to spend quality time together connecting to nature. If we all have an appreciation for nature we will most likely want to take care of it.
