Is Saskatchewan an Island?

Wed., Mar. 4, 2020 10:00 a.m.

Location: Classroom Building 434 -Jack Boan Room-

The Department of Politics and International Studies is very happy to host a book discussion with Dr. Valérie Vézina (Kwantlen Polytechnic University) on her book Une île, une nation? Le nationalisme insulaire à la lumière des cas de Terre-Neuve et Puerto Rico (An Island, a nation? Presses de l'Université du Québec, 2018).

Dr. Vézina's research focuses on comparative island politics (Newfoundland and Puerto Rico), identity and nationalism and on the application of a model of island politics to understanding places that are distinctly not islands!
