Dr. Christina Stojanova: The Intermedial Passions of the 'New' New Romanian Cinema
Christina Stojanova is a media historian, specializing in philosophical, analytical-psychological, and intermedial approaches to the cinemas of Eastern and Central Europe, Quebec, and Interwar Germany. Professor at the Department of Film, University of Regina, over the last fifteen years Christina has contributed 25 chapters to internationally recognized academic publications, three of which -- Wittgenstein at the Movies (Lexington P, 2011), The Legacies of Jean-Luc Godard (Wilfrid Laurier UP, 2014), and the Special Dossier on The Legacy of German Expressionism (Acta Universitatis Sapientiae, 2019) - she has co-edited. Editor of the highly acclaimed The New Romanian Cinema (Edinburgh UP, 2019), she is currently working on her book Artist in Motion about Canadian animator Caroline Leaf, to be published by Bloomsbury Press (US).
