Research interests

Community development in recreation, sport, and leisure; Ethical considerations in professional and research practice; Recreation practitioner knowledge and experience; Wellness-based programming (e.g., community gardens or after-school programs) with marginalized communities; Narrative inquiry and qualitative research methods.

My passion for community-based research led me to working with the Growing Young Movers (GYM) Youth Development as a Research Associate. My current research with GYM includes youth transitions and how youth compose their lives as leaders.
