Remembering Dayna Brons

The Faculty of Kinesiology & Health Studies is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dayna Brons, the athletic therapist for the Humboldt Broncos and a graduate of our program.

Dayna graduated with a Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2016 before receiving an advanced certificate in Athletic Therapy from Mount Royal University.

"Dayna passed away peacefully this afternoon as a result of her injuries. She was surrounded by those she loved and those who loved her," a statement from the Saskatchewan Health Authority read.

Dayna is remembered by Faculty of Kinesiology & Health Studies instructor Barclay Dahlstrom as "a bright student with a wonderful smile and a kind heart. She was a pleasure to have in our faculty."

Former Kinesiology & Health Studies student, and classmate of Brons, Racquel Marshall had the following to say:

"She was someone who would put others ahead of herself. Although she was a quiet and soft-spoken presence, she was able to light up a room."
