Live creatively. Think critically.Susan Johnston

From vintage handprinting techniques to cutting edge digital technologies, from Indigenous land-based art practices to the latest trends in improvisational hands-on theatre, the Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance is the University of Regina's premier maker-space, attracting students nationally and internationally for programs in Film, Music, Creative Technologies, Visual Arts, Theatre, and Interdisciplinary Studies including Pop Culture and Design. Our diverse student population enjoys intimate studio classes with award-winning artists, combined with critical and historical courses led by teacher-scholars across the disciplines.

Degrees and certificates from Media, Art, and Performance break down boundaries, working with partners at First Nations University of Canada, Luther College, Campion College, and the Centre for Continuing Education to offer remote and in-person learning environments, wide-ranging courses, and accessible, innovative learning opportunities that bridge art and culture, creativity and critique, career-readiness and artistic practice. Whether you are an emerging artist, a mid-career practitioner wanting to reflect and extend your professional practice, or a computer science student looking for the creative edge that will set your career apart, our BA, BFA, certificates, and minors will help you map a world of exciting new directions.
