Message from the Associate Dean (Undergraduate)

sean_whalley.jpgWelcome to the Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance (MAP).

Considering studying Film, Creative Technologies, Interdisciplinary Studies, Music, Theatre or Visual Arts? In MAP, the opportunities are yours to discover. Here you will discover excellent facilities and faculty who are active, engaged and approachable. With an emphasis on smaller classes, students have more opportunity to engage directly with their instructors. In addition to excellent faculty at home, students also have the option to study abroad. Linked with UR International, the University of Regina has partners around the world.

Balancing online and face-to-face courses, MAP has an incredibly diverse curriculum. Our many local partners such as First Nations University of Canada, Luther College, Campion College and the Centre for Continuing Education not only offer a variety of learning environments and perspectives, they also bolster the university’s commitment to diversity immensely. Navigating a degree with a sampling from any or all of our partners is simple and straightforward.

When considering what to study, look at certificates, minors and double majors as well as BA and BFA degrees. Doing so may present an option you had not considered or accommodate work schedules that otherwise might prevent you from educational opportunities. Regardless of whether you are a recent high school graduate, someone considering retirement plans or somewhere in between, MAP has a variety of offerings to suit your needs and schedule. Prior learning, knowledge and experience will also be considered when applying.

Looking forward to discussing the possibilities with you.
