Quasar - Quatuor de saxophones.

Montreal's Quasar Sax Quartet has been described as a magnificent ensemble. What you get here is what you hear: technical mastery and love of the music.  Itself uncompromising, no frills, no gimmicks.

Their repertoire is vast in range, including chamber music, improvisation, musical theatre, and most particularly over the past ten years mixed music featuring live electronics, an area in which they are now recognized as leaders. Quasar is the winner of 6 Opus prizes awarded by the Conseil québécois de la musique: the Opus prize “performer of the year”, 4 OPUS prizes “concert of the year in new music and electroacoustics” category and one opus prize in the category “new work of the year”.
