Holly Fay, Assistant Professor, Department of Visual Arts

Bio

Holly Fay is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Visual Arts teaching painting, drawing and professional issues. Fay’s studio work encompasses painting, drawing and installation, with projects examining the anthropocentric representation of nature in the tradition of Western landscape art, phenomenology, ecology, and natural systems. She has a MFA from the University of Ulster in Belfast, Northern Ireland, a BFA and B.Ed from the University of Regina. Her active art practise encompasses, studio work, exhibiting, teaching, mentoring, curating and writing. Prior to joining the Faculty of Media, Art and Performance Fay was the Director / Curator of the Art Gallery of Regina, leading the gallery as both executive and artistic director. Her work has received several Saskatchewan Arts Board grants and is represented in public collections including the Mackenzie Art Gallery, the Dunlop Art Gallery, the City of Regina, and the Saskatchewan Arts Board.
