Bio: Thomas Chase studied organ, theory, and piano with G C Wallis at the Conservatory of Music before undertaking further study with George McPhee of Paisley Abbey in Scotland. He holds the performer's licentiate diploma in organ from Trinity College (London) and has performed and lectured on Marcel Dupré widely in Canada and the US. In 2004, the Royal Canadian College of Organists conferred the diploma of fellow, honoris causa, on him "in recognition of his outstanding contribution to organ music as a performer, scholar, and visionary." An alumnus of the University of Regina (BA Hons in English) and Glasgow University, Scotland (PhD in lexicology and historical linguistics), Thomas Chase spent more than three decades as a professor and administrator at the University of Regina prior to his retirement in June.
