On March 8 – International Women’s Day – the University of Regina hosted its 2017 Inspiring Leadership Forum: The Strength Within.

More than 600 people attended the eighth annual Inspiring Leadership Forum to listen to and reflect on the success stories of women from all walks of life. Keynote speakers Liz Murray, Zahra Al-Harazi and Monica Lewinsky shared their perspectives issues such as poverty, perseverance, human potential and compassion.

University of Regina President and Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Vianne Timmons highlighted the importance of hosting this annual event.

“When women come together to share stories and build each other up, it’s empowering,” says Timmons. “Our keynote speakers addressed what it’s like to face adversity and work hard to overcome it. Their stories were not only a testament to their personal strength, but also an inspiration to all who attended.”

The 2018 Inspiring Leadership Forum: Scaling new heights will feature keynote speakers Barb Stegemann, Manjit Minhas and Bonnie Brooks. The Forum will take place Wednesday March 7, 2018.
