6 free mental wellness supports available for all U of R students

Your mental health and wellbeing are an extremely important part of your overall success as a student. Here are some of the free services and supports available at the U of R to help you with your mental wellness. You can also visit the Mental Wellness Hub, a one-stop digital resource for mental wellness support!

Mindful Mondays

1 Counselling Services

The University of Regina’s Counselling Services is currently available to all students through confidential, virtual counselling sessions. Counselling Services’ clinicians are registered psychologists who can speak with you about things such as anxiety, stress, relationships, and more. You can fill out the online contact form if you would like to make an appointment.

2 Mindful Mondays

Mindful Mondays is an online program series aimed at providing resources and tools to support your personal mental wellness. These sessions were such a hit in the Winter semester, they will be offered again in the Fall! You can watch recordings of the six sessions from the Winter semester. Current students, be sure to check your U of R email for an announcement about the upcoming series in the Fall semester.

3 The BounceBack© Program

The Canadian Mental Health Association’s BounceBack© program is a guided self-help program that uses cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to help adults and youth manage low mood, mild to moderate depression, anxiety, and stress.

Uni Wellbeing

4 University of Regina Students’ Union mywellness Program

This site provides free resources that are available to all students including information on financial wellness and suicide prevention. There are also crisis lines available and a free mental health assessment.

5 UniWellbeing Course

This course provides guidance for simple but effective cognitive behavioural techniques for managing your depression and/or anxiety. It consists of four easy-to-understand lessons and takes five weeks to complete. Throughout the course, you will also receive emails with support and guidance from the designated online therapists.

6 UR Fit Classes

As a U of R student, you can take virtual URFit on Demand classes for free! With classes ranging from POUND! to Yin Yoga and Zumba, you will be able to find a class that will benefit your physical and mental health.
