Health and Safety

The University of Regina is deeply committed to the health and safety of all students, faculty and staff while fostering our academic mission, student success, and support to our communities.

More than 25 per cent of post-secondary students have been diagnosed or treated for one or more mental health conditions in the last 12 months according to the Canadian National College Health Assessment. The University of Regina recognizes the importance of having mental health supports available for our campus community.

The Mental Wellness
Hub
is a one-stop digital resource for mental wellness support and is one part of the University’s overarching Mental Health Strategy and is designed to educate, inform, and foster collaboration of mental well-being initiatives, services, and resources.

The University of Regina's pledge in supporting a healthy campus community and learning environment is reflected in its 2020-25 strategic plan All Our Relations, or Kahkiyaw kiwȃhkomȃkȃninawak in Cree.  Well-being and Belonging is one of the five Areas of Focus in the strategic plan, with Mental Health Literacy and Research as one of the Area’s three key objectives.
