The University of Regina endeavors to provide a safe and healthy environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors. To that end, the Healthy Workplace Advisor provides assistance in a number of areas, such as healthy lifestyle initiatives and workplace ergonomic evaluations.

Working Remotely and Virtual Ergonomics

Whether working in your office or at home, proper ergonomics is important for the prevention of musculoskeletal injury.  Health, Safety & Wellness is pleased to offer the following tools and assessment options in order to provide you with optimal comfort and support while working remotely. Your office furniture and/or computer equipment on campus may be moved to your home.  If you require assistance with transporting any office furniture or computer equipment from your office to your home, please call Work Control at 306-585-4039 or email at  If you require additional ergonomic items that you do not have such as computers, sit/stand desks, keyboard trays etc., you will require a virtual ergonomic assessment. 

If you would like assistance in assessing your home ergonomic workstation, please complete a Healthy Workstation Virtual Ergonomics:Self-Assessment Checklist and email it to Our Healthy Workplace Advisor will review your self-assessment checklist and, if needed, contact you for a virtual assessment.

All recommendations made by the Healthy Workplace Advisor will be emailed to you and your immediate supervisor for consideration. Any equipment purchases that need to be made will be the responsibility of your faculty/unit.
