The U of R’s halls are alive with activity once again and we’re happy to have you back!

To help you take full advantage of being back on campus, we put together a list of ways you can get involved and make the most out of your time at the U of R.

Join a club

No matter your faculty or area of interest, there’s likely a campus club or society just for you. Browse the nearly 100 clubs and societies available on the URSU website to find your people and pursue your passions.

If athletics are more your thing, check out the Varsity Club sport program. Whether you’ve been playing for years or you want to try a new sport for the first time, all skill levels are welcome to sign-up and start competing against other Canada West varsity clubs.

Socialize while you exercise

Did you know U of R students can workout at the Fitness and Lifestyle Centre, take URFit classes, and go for a swim for free with your student ID card?

It’s the perfect way to take a break from your studies while staying fit and meeting new people.

Make a difference

There’s plenty of ways you can give back to your campus community throughout the year. Whether it’s fundraising, volunteering, or donating, think about getting involved with the many charitable initiatives around campus and leave a lasting impact on the U of R.

Show your U of R pride

Represent our campus community proudly by grabbing some U of R gear at the Campus Store. There’s always new inventory coming in, so keep an eye on the Campus Store website or stop by the store in the College West building and get geared up!

Cheer on the Cougars

Throw on your new U of R gear and support our Cougars! The women’s and men’s basketball teams have both cracked the Canada West Final Four tournaments. Stream the Final Four and cheer on these incredible athletes like Canada West Rookie of the Year Jade Belmore.

The track & field and swimming teams are also in the final stretches of their seasons. The men’s and women’s swimming teams performed well at the Canada West Championships in November and they’ll be competing at the U Sports Championships in Quebec later this month.

The track & field teams are full of talent too, including Olympic sprinter Usheoritse Itsekiri, and they’ll be competing at the Canada West and U Sports Championships later this month as well.
