Emergency Notification System (ENS)
The Emergency Notification System (ENS) is designed to deliver critical and time sensitive warnings to members of our campus community and visitors in the event of a life threatening situation on campus in order to stay safe.
The ENS uses existing infrastructure on the UofR and College Avenue campuses, such as computer monitors and television screens, and also pushes messaging to the U of R Alertus app, and the University's Twitter Channel.
The ENS is not linked to the fire alarm system and will not activate when the fire alarm sounds. Decisions to activate the ENS are made on the basis of each situation.
