Applies to: Users of the Micro Focus Client for Windows
Section: Network Services
Author: Network Technician
Last updated: 13 April 2017
This document describes how to recover network access if the Micro Focus client has lost our configuration settings and won't allow you to login.
At the time of this writing the Creators Update for Windows 10 is imminent. It was determined at the last minute that this update will interfere with the Micro Focus client to the extent that the user will not be able to login.
Even though this note was written for Windows 10 it will also apply to Windows 7. Those are the only two supported platforms at the UofR.
Steps to Regain Access to the NetworkWhen you try to login a context settings window will pop up.
Ensure you are under the eDirectory tab
Click Tree
Select UOFR
Click Ok.
Click Contexts
Double click UofR
Click All or click your actual context if known
Click Ok
Click Apply
This should enable you to login to the Micro Focus client. You should only have to do this once. Any other user logging in will have to do the above steps once as well.
